Fairmont Banff Springs Willow Stream Spa Refurbishment

The Willow Stream Spa is located within the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel and is a much-desired destination for visitors to the area. IBI Group carefully selected finish and material palettes to both pay homage to the surroundings as well as to incorporate the five elements integral to Willow Stream’s brand; earth, air, fire, water and wood. Our scope included the reimagining of the reception and adjoining retail spaces as well as both single and couples treatment rooms.

One of the goals in the design was to emphasize the retail component without taking away from the zen-like atmosphere. We achieved this by laying out the retail desk adjacent to the check-in area and pulling the same quality materials throughout the facility. Equipment, service layouts and circulation were all considered to ensure easy and logical navigation through the space for both staff and clientele. Our team selected materials such as marble flooring to evoke the imagery depicted outside during the winter and balanced the cool tones with warm wood and copper tones. Sheer drapery, rich hues and natural materials round out the palette to help create a soothing environment that envelops the spa’s clients in warmth and comfort upon arrival.
